Directions to The Croft
From the south take the A68 to Jedburgh and continue towards St. Boswells. Just before St. Boswells turn left onto the A699 (signposted Selkirk). After about 8 miles you will come to a blue sign ‘Selkirk twinned with Plattling’. The turn to The Croft is just past that on the right, but it is a very steep turn from that direction so it is best to pull into the layby on your left and turn round there.
From the north take the A7 through Selkirk and then, just past the petrol station on your right, turn left onto the A699 (signposted St. Boswells). You will pass a house called Briarbank on your left then, about 50 yards further on, as the road bends to the left, the turn-off to The Croft is on your left.
If you are coming from Hawick on the A7 turn right at the crossroads onto the A699 towards St. Boswells, before you reach the petrol station. You will pass a house called Briarbank on your left then, about 50 yards further on, as the road bends to the left, the turn-off to The Croft is on your left.
Follow the track down, going slowly because it is bumpy, and watch out for rabbits and pheasants. Keep to the left when you come to a junction at the first house and you will come to a gravelled area where you can park. The entrance is the white door at the right of the house as you are facing it.
